Longtime Assistant Executive Director, Lynae Hanson, retired in April from the North Dakota Safety Council. After the announcement of her retirement, we hired two new positions and promoted a few staff members.

This year, we distributed 48 awards to companies and individuals representing multiple industries including transportation, manufacturing, construction, and oil and gas.

The NDSC has been awarded an OSHA Susan Harwood Curriculum Development Grant to develop an agricultural safety course targeted to employers who perform agricultural operations, with a focus on youth employees, those new to farming and other small businesses in the agricultural industry.

The trailer will house safety education modules and hands-on activities covering grain dust explosions, chemical and respiratory irritation of the eyes and lungs, equipment handling, ATVs, fall protection, and more.

The NDSC submitted an Economic Resiliency Grant and received funds from the ND Department of Commerce to improve our operations for the purpose of reducing the spread of infection, and instilling consumer confidence in the marketplace.

To provide guidance to schools, the NDSC and EAPC created free virtual training courses in partnership with multiple agencies, including the N.D. Department of Public Instruction (DPI) and N.D. Department of Health (NDDoH).
