Safety Training in Spanish

Are language barriers affecting your ability to provide quality safety training to your workers?

The North Dakota Safety Council employs Aglae Young & Peter Juarez – knowledgeable safety instructors who are fluent in Spanish and certified/authorized to teach the following courses:

Aglae Young

Peter Juarez

  • Advanced CPR/AED/First Aid (English curriculum with interpretation option)
  • Emergency Medical Response (English curriculum with interpretation option)
  • National Safety Council’s Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving (English curriculum with interpretation option)
  • CPR/AED/First Aid, Adult (English and Spanish curriculum available)
  • OSHA 10 & 30 Hour General Industry (English and Spanish curriculum available)
  • National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course (English and Spanish curriculum available)

Aglae or Peter can also serve as interpreters for any courses we offer, alongside our other instructors. In courses where interpretation is needed, the course must be set up as a private course and the schedule must allow the course time to be doubled to allow for the extra teaching/translation time.

Note: As part of the employer’s responsibility to ensure their employees understand and are able to communicate with supervisors and co-workers about hazards at their worksite, OSHA expects instruction of employees to use both a language and vocabulary that the employees can understand.
