The completion of OSHA 511 course prior to registering for the OSHA 501 course and five years of general industry safety experience. A bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation may be substituted for two years of experience. A prerequisite form must be completed online.
