All exams must be scheduled directly through PSI.
Important notes when scheduling your exam:
– NDSC cannot schedule exams on your behalf
– Appointments are typically available several weeks in advance
– Early scheduling is recommended to secure your preferred date
Before Test Day Information:
1. Double Check Your Booking Information
Confirm your scheduled test date, time, and test center location. This simple step could save you from a stressful and unnecessary trip.
2. Leave Personal Items Behind
You are not allowed to bring personal items into the testing area. This includes bags, food, drinks, and electronics. NDSC does have a secure storage area so you can take advantage of this, if needed. However, if your items don’t fit in the secured storage area, you will be asked to leave said items in your vehicle.
3. Arrive Early
It is recommended to arrive at least 30 minutes early before your scheduled test time allows you to complete the check-in process. This also ensures you have enough time to review any instructions or information the Test Center Administrator is instructed to provide.
During the Test Information:
1. Check-In and Security
Be sure to have your ID ready to go. The check-in process includes verifying your ID, and in some cases, you may be asked to have your photo taken. This is a standard procedure to ensure security.
2. No Communicating During the Test
Once you enter the testing area, communication with other test takers is strictly prohibited. Test takers who engage in misconduct may be dismissed from the examination. Any unauthorized communication may be considered a violation and result in dismissal or score cancellation.
3. Electronic Devices Strictly Prohibited
You are required to leave all electronic devices in the designated storage area. Be sure to turn them off before placing them in the secured area. These items are not allowed in the testing room for security reasons.
Test Day Information:
1. Test Monitoring
Your test will be monitored by the Test Center Administrator to ensure appropriate testing conditions are maintained. This will be via video surveillance and a walk-through the room every 15-minutes. This helps ensure that everyone has a fair and secure testing experience.
After the Test Information:
1. Checkout Process
Exit the testing area quietly and proceed to the checkout process with the Test Center Administrator.
2. Immediate Results or Instructions for Scoring
Some tests allow you to receive your score once you have completed the test, while others may provide instructions on how to get your score later. Either way, you will be informed about when and how to check your test results.
