REQUEST A PRESENTATION

The success of Operation Lifesaver is through participation at the local community level. You can become an Operation Lifesaver volunteer and share the rail safety message with your community school, civic and community groups.

For more information about becoming a volunteer or having a presentation in your community, contact the North Dakota Safety Council at 701-223-6372.

Operation Lifesaver of the Dakotas provides rail safety information and resources across both  North Dakota and South Dakota through public education and awareness. Five participating ND rails – Burlington Northern Santa Fe; Canadian Pacific; Dakota Missouri Valley & Western; Northern Plains; and Red River Valley & Western railroads, and in SD – BNSF, Dakota Missouri Valley & Western, Watco, Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern, along with the Operation Lifesaver Committee and North Dakota Safety Council, work collectively in this mission.

WRECKED CAR DISPLAYS

Operation Lifesaver of the Dakotas has two wrecked car displays that are used as visual reminders of what can happen during a vehicle-train collision. The displays are rotated around the state as an educational tool which also shares a story to the vehicle, along with safety tips to ensure something similar doesn’t happen to your family.
