This course is required for all experienced surface coal miners. Course content applies to coal mines, underground metal and non-metal mines, surface metal mines, and certain surface non-metal mines such as gold.

Admission to this class requires a current 5000-23.
Students must email a copy of their current 5000-23 documentation from their most recent annual refresher or new miner course to darcyt@ndsc.org upon registration.
Students without a current 5000-23 may be redirected to a New Miner class or Experienced Miner training.
