What do you do at NDSC?
I am a Safety Consultant and teach several different topics. I have been in the safety field as a Safety Specialist for over 25 years, primarily working in the oil and gas industry.

Why is NDSC’s mission to prevent injuries and save lives important to you
I am very passionate about the beginning of one’s journey in their respective field. It all begins with knowing what it takes to do the task safely and correctly. I believe in the mission of the NDSC to be the leading edge of their journey.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy golf and the western lifestyle of living. ie: cattle, horses and living a free and secluded lifestyle.

Name one really interesting thing about yourself.
I am currently the PROUD grandfather of 25 grandkids.

Favorite music?
I enjoy old country music…George Strait, George Jones, Garth Brooks. Not this new Hip Hop Country!

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?
I enjoyed my time in the military and got to travel quite a bit while being stationed in Friedberg, Germany (Ray Barracks). It was also where Elvis Presley was stationed. I traveled to quite a few different places, but I would like to spend about a month traveling Norway and Sweden as that is where my family started from.

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Tolerance would be the one thing I would change in this world. We can agree to disagree and still get along.

Biggest pet peeve?
People not being able to compromise.

What animal most closely matches your personality?
According to my wife… a MULE. I can be stubborn and hardheaded.

What’s on your bucket list?
With all my travels while in the military, the one place I never got to go to was the Greek Isles. I would love to take my wife there.

What is your favorite movie, book and TV show?
My favorite movie is any John Wayne movie. Favorite book is anything written by William Johnston or Louis Lamoure. My favorite TV show is ‘Happy Days’ and the ‘Band of Brothers’ series.
