This class meets revised ANSI/ASSE Z390.1-2017 standard in mitigating risks associated with H2S exposure industry-wide. Our H2S class has been revamped to engage students even more deeply. But the best part…course participants can work on a Site Emergency Plan for H2S while they are taking the training! This hands-on piece with oversight from the NDSC’s expert trainers ties together practical experience with knowledge.

The NDSC offers both IN-PERSON and DISTANCE LEARNING, including Spanish-language courses available. Our trainers are passionate safety professionals with genuine Bakken oilfield experience. They combine the theory of safety with real life experiences in a relevant, impactful delivery, and are committed to giving your employees the best experience possible. The goal is for every attendee to walk away with a powerful, newfound attitude about their ability to stay safe on the job.

MEET THE H2S TRAINERS

Dennis Snodgrass

“I’ve worked in safety for the past 12 years – most of it in the oil & gas industry – and I’ve witnessed the impact injuries have had on companies, crews, and more importantly…the workers and their families. Programs like OBOW provide the necessary information and resources to assist workers in making better and safer decisions while working in the North Dakota oilfields.”

Kacy Kirby

“I have been a part of the safety world for over 20 years, including 15 in the oil and gas industry. I truly enjoy getting to know the people who attend my trainings and sharing some of my stories and experiences with them, but even more so look forward to listening and learning from them as well. OBOW Safety Contractor Orientation and H2S trainings are a great way to ensure our oil and gas family stay safe each and every day.”

Jesse Johnson

“I enjoy my work in the Oil and gas safety because it allows me to protect and make a meaningful impact every day. With more than 25 years of experience in safety, I take pride in using my knowledge to help crews work confidently and go home safely. I value teamwork, problem-solving and real-world challenges that come with supporting safe operations in the field. I believe that training is the FIRST STEP in prevention.”

Stacey Fick

Stacey has been in the safety training industry since 2013. Her background includes safety training such as OSHA 10&30, Safeland, H2S, Frist Aid, CPR/AED, OBOW, Confined Space, and many more.
