What do you do at NDSC?
I recently took on the role of Workplace Safety Program Manager. It is an honor and privilege to be part of a team that is focused on the wellbeing and safety of all involved in the workplace. Doing my small part in the bigger picture to be sure that each and everyone gets home safely to their families is humbling. I have spent 25+ years in the legal profession and plan to bring that same professionalism and courtesy to clients in the safety world.

Why is NDSC’s mission to prevent injuries and save lives important to you?
This mission speaks volumes about the value NDSC places on the wellbeing of a human. Knowing there is a group of people that puts their hearts and souls into making sure that the world is a safer place is reassuring to me and gives me hope that our family members will come home after each shift.

What are your hobbies?
Not sure if it’s a “hobby” but YaYa-ing (being grandma to) the sweetest/sourest patch kid in the bunch is my favorite thing to do! Every second spent making memories with family and friends keeps my cup full and my heart happy.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?
Germany – I went as a 14-year-old on a three-week exchange program through my high school and would love to go back to experience the country as an adult and to visit the same areas.

Favorite singer/band/song?
Michael Franti – he’s amazing and spreads self-love, feel good music that hits you in all the feelers. If you haven’t heard his music, do yourself a favor and look him up! Haven’t heard a bad song from him yet. As far as a band, Queen is at the top!

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Sprinkle kindness everywhere and anywhere because boy do we need it!

Biggest pet peeve?
Loud chewers…eek, it drives me crazy!

What is your biggest strength and your biggest weakness?
I’m a workaholic…and that alone is a strength and a weakness.

What store would you pick to max out your credit card?
Hmmmmm, this is a tough one but if I had to choose just one, it would be Target.

What is your biggest fear in life?
Drowning.

What’s on your bucket list?
A trip to Australia, mate!

What is your favorite movie, book and TV show?
‘Pretty Woman’ is my ultimate favorite movie. I could (and have) watch it over and over for an entire day!

I am not much of a sit down and read type of person so no favorite book to mention.

I am a ChiHard, aka big fan, of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD!
