Expanding in Fargo: More Space, More Classes, More Impact

The North Dakota Safety Council is taking a big step forward in Fargo — and it’s about so much more than just new walls and fresh paint. It’s about creating more opportunities to save lives, build safer workplaces, and strengthen communities across eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota.

“This expanded space is a game changer for our training team and for every student who walks through our doors. We’ll be able to offer more courses, more hands-on scenarios, and ultimately help more people go home safe at the end of the day.”

As demand for safety training and services continues to climb, the NDSC is expanding into a larger training center in Fargo. This isn’t just a new building — it’s a bold investment in the people and businesses who make this region thrive. The NDSC’s new space is located inside the Dakota Medical Foundation building, with an entrance exclusive to NDSC students.

Why Fargo? Why Now?

Workplace safety is more than compliance — it’s about protecting people.

  • Nearly 3 million nonfatal workplace injuries occur each year in the U.S.

  • Companies with robust safety programs see 40% fewer injuries and improved productivity.

  • The Fargo region is one of the fastest-growing economic hubs in the Upper Midwest, and employers here need access to top-tier safety training close to home.

What’s New in Fargo?

  • Dedicated training space designed for everything from OSHA to CPR to MSHA and beyond.

  • More frequent classes and the flexibility to host customized, industry-specific programs.

  • Convenient access for companies across the Red River Valley, from Jamestown to Moorhead and beyond.

  • A dedicated environment that fosters learning, engagement, and safety culture.

“This isn’t just about bricks and mortar,” says Chuck Clairmont, Executive Director of the NDSC. “It’s about growing our mission. We’re here to save lives, reduce injuries, and keep companies strong — and this new Fargo facility is going to let us do that for even more people.”
