NDSC Emergency Care Program Manager

The North Dakota Safety Council (NDSC) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Emergency Care Program Manager to join our team. This key role involves working with employers and the public in the planning, coordination, and execution of emergency care training and certifications in the areas of CPR/First Aid and AED use for adults and children, mental health first aid, advanced first aid and CPR, emergency medical response, basic life support for healthcare professionals and emergency responders, blood- and airborne pathogens, and more. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for helping people. This role also has the opportunity and is incentivized to strengthen and grow the membership of the NDSC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate safety training classes, workshops, and seminars, considering customer needs and instructor availability.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and coordinating expert guidance on safety-related matters through qualified and experienced safety consultants at the NDSC.
  • Create accurate and detailed estimates for safety training services, considering factors such as materials, instructor fees, and logistical requirements.
  • Manage inventory of safety training materials and equipment, ensuring availability for trainings.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and participant feedback to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of program activities, participant attendance, and related documentation.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging best practices in workplace safety.
  • Support and coordinate with subagents to ensure administrative needs are met.
  • Assist in budget development and monitoring of budget and adjust as needed to meet targets.
  • Oversee course reconciliation and certificate process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Purchase and sell safety products, including AEDs and related consumables, to customers and maintain relationships with wholesalers.
  • Assist in planning and implementation of the NDSC annual conference.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Critical thinking skills and strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software for creating estimates, reports, and presentations.
  • Proven experience in customer service, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to achieving program objectives and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in program coordination, scheduling, and logistics is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree preferred but not required

Work Environment and Compensation:

  • This position is located at the NDSC Safety Campus in Bismarck, ND.
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility based on workload demands.
