Who the council
serves;
Personal safety
is of the utmost importance to you, your
employees, customers and community. You want to
count on a safe work environment in your
workplace, on the roads and highways you travel,
and in your home. But hazards still exist in all
these places and accidents
can occur,
North Dakota
Safety Council exists because a need exists; the
need to remedy the human and economic loss
suffered in our communities as a result of
accidents. The council's objective is to save
lives and to reduce injuries and property loss
throughout the state.
A private
non-profit, educational organization founded in
1979, the North Dakota Safety Council is a
chapter of the National Safety Council. Our goal
is to prevent accidents by:
- Creating a
consciousness in peoples' minds about the
danger and possibilities of accidents
- Teaching
people to recognize hazards
-
Instructing people in ways to deal with
accidents and hazards; and
- Providing
information that will prepare people to
properly respond to unsafe situations.
If
you have any other questions or need additional
information, please call, Fax, or
email the North
Dakota Safety Council.
