What do you do at NDSC?
I am a program coordinator focusing on supporting the Workplace and Emergency Care programs.  I was originally hired at the NDSC as the Office Manager and have been in this role for a little over six months.  I focus a lot of my time on the One Basin-One Way training program, in addition to helping schedule classes and trainers, working closely with customers in many different aspects, and assisting with safety product orders ranging from student workbooks to AEDs.

Why is NDSC’s mission to prevent injuries and save lives important to you?
Our mission is very important to me because at the end of the day, we want to keep families whole.  My husband’s job puts him in a position where he or someone else could be injured or killed by the actions of himself or another person if the proper training and safety measures are not in place and followed, whether working in the field or on the road.  Every time I hear of a work related injury or death, it really hits home for me.

What are your hobbies?
I love to read (when I get time), go to the gym and chase my kids around in whatever activity they are participating in.

Biggest pet peeve?
People who are intentionally mean to others; bullying.

What is your biggest strength and your biggest weakness?
My biggest strength and weakness is the same….I love animals and have a huge heart for them, which is why I have rescue and rehomed dogs, and currently have three.  I just can’t say no.

What store would you pick to max out your credit card?
Definitely Target!

What is your biggest fear in life?
House fires; dying in a house fire, having one of my family members or pets be trapped in a house fire.

What is your favorite movie, book and TV show?
My favorite movie of all time is ‘Empire Records’.  I could watch it a million times.
