We’re a non-profit training organization – helping others work, play and live safer lives. The North Dakota Safety Council is the largest safety organization in the state, serving the general public as well as almost 900 member companies in the industries of energy, manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, agriculture, transportation, healthcare and more. We have three offices: Bismarck (Main Safety Campus), Minot, and Fargo.

Oil & Gas and General Safety Trainer

Are you passionate about safety and eager to make an impact? The North Dakota Safety Council (NDSC) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Safety Trainer to deliver high-quality safety training, with a primary focus on One Basin, One Way! orientation program for the oil and gas industry. Ability to train on additional curriculum is dependent upon experience. We welcome candidates with additional expertise in occupational safety as well. The NDSC is North Dakota’s leading safety organization, made up of highly qualified and competent safety training experts. Join our team’s mission of preventing injuries and saving lives.

Fluent Spanish a plus!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver standardized orientation and safety programs tailored to the oil and gas sector.
  • Conduct health and safety training sessions for employers, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Support business development by engaging current and new customers in safety training that meets their needs.
  • Seek opportunities to expand into additional areas of safety training and consulting.
  • Ensure training content is current, relevant, and engaging by reviewing and updating on an ongoing basis.

This full- or part-time position includes a competitive salary and an opportunity to work for the recognized leader in safety in North Dakota.

Required experience: Five years working in the oil and gas industry along with one year of training experience. Salary will be based on education, certifications, and experience.

Qualifications:

· MSHA Part 48: 3 years experience (Mandatory)

· First Aid Certification (Highly Appreciated)

· Mine-related heavy equipment operator experience (Highly Appreciated)

· Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
