What do you do at NDSC?
It doesn’t matter what position you hold at the NDSC – you will ALWAYS wear more than one hat. It’s no different for the Marketing Manager. My hats include event planner, writer, project manager, and sometimes a toilet scrubber. Just depends on the day! I’m also responsible for the oversight of our rock star marketing team, the NDSC’s overall brand and implementation of our marketing strategy. Oh – and the conference.

Why is NDSC’s mission to prevent injuries and save lives important to you?
Our mission has become personal to me. It’s changed the way I approach life and the way I parent my three kids. But what I really love about our mission, is that it’s bigger than us. The work we do impacts more than just the people who hear our message. If we can change one person’s behavior for the better, we’re not just keeping them safe, we’re keeping a family whole. Because when a person dies from a preventable injury it’s not just their life that’s affected. The ripple effect runs deep through their network of family, friends, coworkers and their community.

What are your hobbies?
I have 3 kids.

Favorite singer/band/song?
Anything country. And Goo Goo Dolls are pretty awesome too.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?
Nashville…because, well…I love country music.

Biggest pet peeve?
Can people PLEASE use their blinkers?!

What animal most closely matches your personality?
Lioness: mother, protector and provider that is caring, nurturing and fiercely protective

What is your biggest strength and your biggest weakness?
My biggest strength is being able to see the silver lining, even on the worst days. My biggest weakness is my lack of core strength (where did my teenage abs go?!).

What is your biggest fear in life?
Losing my husband or child.

What is your favorite movie, book and TV show?
According to my Netflix history, my favorite shows are ‘Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures’, ‘Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom’, ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’, and ‘Masha and the Bear’.
