What do you do at NDSC?
I’m the accounting manager. I support the finance director and department managers in day-to-day accounting functions, monthly activities, budgeting, and year-end activities. I’m a CPA with experience in both private and public accounting, particularly in the audit function.
Why is NDSC’s mission to prevent injuries and save lives important to you?
My dad works in the home construction/ renovation area so I know how dangerous improper use of equipment and awareness of your surroundings can be. Teaching people how to respond appropriately to their surroundings is essential to making sure everyone makes it home at the end of the day.
What are your hobbies?
I like to read and play board games. Not sure if it counts as a hobby, but I love house remodel projects and playing with my four dogs.
Name one really interesting thing about yourself.
My three paw print tattoos are actual prints from the dogs my family had while I was growing up.
What is your biggest strength and your biggest weakness?
My biggest strength is my determination. If I make up my mind to do something, it’s getting done. My biggest weakness is my inability to let things go. I want what I do to be perfect and tend to be pretty hard on myself.
What store would you pick to max out your credit card?
Scheels. I can’t go in there without spending a minimum of $300. I’m not allowed to go there anymore…
If you were a superhero, what would your powers be?
I would go with flying, strength, and invisibility. The invisibility would probably end up being used more for fun than superhero-ey type things.
Who would play you in a movie?
Margot Robbie or Jennifer Lawrence, no matter how unrealistic that may be.
What is your favorite movie, book and TV show?
Movie – ‘Wolf of Wallstreet’
Book – ‘The Secret History’ by Donna Tartt
TV Show – Four way tie between Friends, The Office, Sons of Anarchy, and Breaking Bad
