What do you do at NDSC?
I am the Assistant Executive Director/Operations and spend most of my day in meetings – strategizing, planning, and making decisions. Basically, I visit with the program managers, trainers, directors and the admin team about the who, what, when, where and how of our business.
Why is NDSC’s mission to prevent injuries and save lives important to you?
It breaks my heart to see people hurting and suffering. I love that we are in the business of preventing injuries and fatalities, and keeping families whole.
What are your hobbies?
I am an artist, a graphic designer, a carpenter and have dabbled in home design and remodeling. I also love hanging out with my hubby and dog.
Name one really interesting thing about yourself.
I played French Horn from grade school through college and competed statewide. I was also the second chair in the Minot Symphony Orchestra.
What other talents do you have?
I’m a speed reader. I usually need two books per flight when traveling. One for the way out and one for the way back.
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?
I’m trying to get to all 50 states and only have 7 left!
U2, Prince, Lauren Daigle, Tauren Wells. Song – ‘Sweet Child ‘O Mine’. I like a wide variety of music!
What is your biggest fear in life?
I’m not a great swimmer and/or huge fan of being in water. I don’t want to die by drowning – like driving over the Memorial bridge in the winter, sliding off, crashing into the water and drowning under the ice. AAAACK!
