Responsible for providing proactive advice and support to management on workplace health & safety, environment, workplace or process design and on other matters relating to the reduction of workplace accidents and injuries. Enable and support Environment Health & Safety management system to mitigate workplace risk and achieve company goals and objectives.
What You Will Do:
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Environment Health & Safety Management System
Promote Safety awareness, trust and commitment by building on existing culture and program strengths. Connect with the workforce to communicate the importance of safety and to positively influence compliance with safety objectives.
Provide technical support and regulatory interpretation on Safety matters.
Educate and support line management and employees on relevant health safety & environment practices and loss reduction activities such as incident investigations, safety meetings, workplace inspections, etc.
Support workplace, work processes, and workstation assessments to eliminate or reduce the potential for injuries.
Support the implementation of and monitors the development of Job Safety Analysis and Safe Work Practices.
Deliver safety orientation and training as required.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
Monitor and audit Company compliance with applicable safety, health and environment legislation/regulations and recommends appropriate actions to ensure compliance.
Support line management in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause and corrective actions.
Maintain and support all internal and external safety and environmental reporting requirements.

What You Need To Be Successful:
Post-secondary diploma or degree in relevant disciplines is an asset.
1 to 5 years of relevant
Health and safety experience
Safety Professional designation is an asset.
Environmental Professional designation is an asset
Ability to independently manage multiple, simultaneous demands
Ability to prepare written and statistical reports
Planning, organizational process management
Good communication and presentation skills
Ability to professionally interact with regulatory agencies
