NDSC Donate FAQs

When I click on Donate, why does it take me to an Impact Foundation website?
The Impact Foundation actually tracks and manages all online donations for the North Dakota Safety Council through its non-profit website. They do this for more than 300 non-profits in North Dakota and Minnesota. Their site provides a portal where you can donate securely online.

Do I need to sign-up with the Impact Foundation to donate?
No. You don’t need to sign-up to donate. However, if you create an account, your donation will be tracked and you will be able to follow your past donations.

Do I need to pay to sign-up?
No. Signing up for a donor account is free.

What kind of fees will I pay and where are they going?
Impact Foundation, while striving to always give the most to the community, does not charge ANY fee on top of your donation fee. Credit card processing fees are the only additional fees. Impact Foundation does not receive any financial compensation from gifts contributed through this website, and Impact Foundation will not share or sell any information obtained through this website.

What is the refund policy?
As a Donor, you are responsible for ensuring that you have selected the correct organization to donate to and the correct intended amount to donate. Tax-deductible charitable contributions made on the impactgiveback website are irrevocable. If there are any extenuating circumstances, please contact the administrator at info@impactfdn.org or call 701-356-3149 immediately and your case will be reviewed individually. If contributed funds have already been disbursed to the NDSC, it is your responsibility to contact the NDSC directly to request a refund. You may contact us at 701-223-6372.

How will my donation be used?
Donations to the North Dakota Safety Council go right back into programming for other non-profits. We plan to use funds for scholarships for other non-profits to send their employees or residents to safety training courses such as defensive driving, first aid, self protection or building threat assessments.

Can I choose a specific project in the community to support?
Yes. If you would like to give specifically to Alive at 25, Operation Lifesaver (railroad safety), Home & Community programs, or the NDSC’s Annual Conference, please make your donation and then send us an email indicating where you want the funds used. That email is: ndsc@ndsc.org.

Does the North Dakota Safety Council need my donation?
Yes. In order to promote the mission of the North Dakota Safety Council we need your support. Financial donations allow us to expand our reach. In 2014 we trained more than 50,000 people.

Donations also help us update existing training and develop new training, as well as educate those in our communities about how to avoid injury and keep themselves and their families safe. Every year we host the largest annual safety conference in a 3-state area, where we bring in nationally recognized speakers to educate and inspire North Dakota residents to do their best work. More than 1,000 people attend annually.

Is my donation tax deductible?
The North Dakota Safety Council is a non-profit 501(c)3. Donations are tax deductible for United States citizens. For donors outside of the United States, please consult with your tax advisor about whether your donation will be tax deductible.

Where can I find out more about the North Dakota Safety Council’s non-profit status?
