According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 38 workplace fatalities in North Dakota in 2014. Research proves lives can be saved and job performance improved through awards and recognition programs.

The NDSC’s Safety & Health Awards honor member companies with outstanding safety programs, employees with superior safety records, and those who have gone above and beyond to improve safety and health environments in their communities.

Duane Kuehn & Lifesaver Awards

The NDSC will present two of their most prestigious awards, Thursday, February 23, 2017 during the Ceremony of Champions, held in conjunction with the NDSC's 44th Annual Safety & Health Conference at the Bismarck Event Center:

  • Duane Kuehn Outstanding Safety Professional
  • NDSC Lifesaver

Applications for these awards were due January 6, 2017 and the winners will be notified in early February.

Spring Awards Ceremony
All other awards will be presented during the NDSC's 2017 Safety & Health Awards Luncheon taking place in Bismarck, Wednesday, April 12 from 12pm-1:15pm.

Individuals who earned their Advanced Safety Certificate in 2016 will also be recognized during the luncheon.

Application deadline is Friday, March 10 and winners will be notified in late March.

Spring Safety & Health Awards
All award recipients were honored Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Spring Safety & Health Awards Ceremony. 89 awards were presented to 74 companies and individuals from around the region.
 
 
Outstanding Safety Professional & Lifesaver Award Recipients
The NDSC presented two of their most prestigious awards, Thursday, February 23, 2017 during the Ceremony of Champions, held in conjunction with the NDSC's 44th Annual Safety & Health Conference at the Bismarck Event Center.
 
 
 
Applications for the 2017 Safety & Health Awards will be available later this fall.

According to OSHA, an average of 85 workers per week were killed on the job in 2013, including a total of 55 workers in N.D. Research proves lives can be saved and job performance improved through awards and recognition programs. The NDSC’s Safety & Health Awards honor member companies with outstanding safety programs, employees with superior safety records, and those who have gone above and beyond to improve safety and health environments in their communities.

Nearly 100 awards were presented to 60 companies for their safety accomplishments in 2014.

 
 
2015 Awards
The NDSC will present two of their most prestigious awards, Thursday, February 4, 2016 during the Ceremony of Champions, held in conjunction with the NDSC's 43rd Annual Safety & Health Conference at the Bismarck Event Center.
  • Duane Kuehn Outstanding Safety Professional
  • NDSC Lifesaver

Applications for the Duane Kuehn and Lifesaver awards were due January 8, 2016. The deadline is now closed.

All other NDSC Award applications are due Wednesday, March 9, 2016 and will be presented at the spring awards ceremonies. Ceremony details will be released at a later date.
