 HOW YOU CAN HELP

ND Operation Lifesaver is always looking for people who can help spread our safety message and aid in achieving our goal of ending tragic collisions, deaths and injuries at highway-rail grade crossings and on railroad rights-of-way.

Volunteers can contribute to ND Operation Lifesaver in two ways: as an Operation Lifesaver Associate or as a Certified Operation Lifesaver Presenter.

PRESENTER
Operation Lifesaver Presenters give public presentations to numerous civic groups, businesses and organizations on highway-rail grade crossing safety and trespass prevention. Presenters complete a training course where they learn different aspects of rail safety, public speaking skills and answers to frequently asked questions. Presenters must complete this training course, a 90-day evaluation and perform at least four presentations per year.

ASSOCIATE
Associates do not give public presentations, but they help state programs with countless day-to-day activities and special events that may include such tasks as: events assistant, scheduler of presentations, clerical assistant, etc. Associates must have a strong interest in ND Operation Lifesaver, complete a training course and attend at least one ND Operation Lifesaver event per year.
